New developments for equine care industry in Scone
14-Dec-2009The equine industry received a boost this week with a major announcement
from Australia’s largest equine hospital. Scone Veterinary Hospital
announced the future direction for their practice at a launch in their
Hunter Valley Equine Research Centre facility with a symbolic name
change.
From January 2010, Scone Veterinary Hospital will be known as Scone Equine Hospital.
Angus Adkins, specialist equine surgeon and Scone Equine
Hospital Director, says the name change communicates the hospital’s
services and expertise with a more accurate representation of the focus
and future growth for the practice.
“This is a change that celebrates who we are and what we do
well. It celebrates our commitment to the expert care of horses and to
the development of research and training to the equine industry,” he
said.
“This name change also projects our commitment to grow our
practice and reach into new markets of performance, working and pleasure
horses.”
“Scone Equine Hospital is a more accurate representation of
the service delivery for our practice. We have changed our name at a
timely stage in our growth aligned to the relocation to the Hunter
Valley Equine Research Centre and to the development of our new hospital
adjacent.”
“The launch of our new name was an opportunity to reflect on
the history of the practice and confirmation of the commitment the
practice holds to staff, the community of Scone and to the equine
industry,” Angus Adkins said.
