Andrew Palmer BVSc MACVSc

1972 University of Sydney New South Wales


Andy graduated from the University of Sydney in 1972. He worked in equine and mixed practice in Australia and New Zealand and gained Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in equine medicine in 1983.

Andy joined the Scone Equine Hospital in 1988. Andy’s work involves stud medicine and mixed practice with particular interests in stallion fertility and artificial breeding techniques.

The SEH has five Specialists in Equine Medicine or Surgery and a number of highly experienced senior veterinarians. Their skills and experiences cover all disciplines of equine veterinary science.

Scone Equine Hospital aims to provide dedicated expert care, service and professional leadership in equine veterinary practice. We provide practical clinical training for 30-40 veterinary students and veterinarians and up to 60 veterinary nurses each year.
